FashionPrints That Clash, Outfits That Work
By Sara Tilla
A creator's-eye view of getting dressed when every outfit could become a post.

Somewhere between saving outfit ideas and planning what to share, I started looking at my wardrobe through a screen. I would ask whether a combination was interesting enough before asking whether I wanted to wear it.
There is nothing wrong with enjoying an audience. Sharing a find or a new way to wear an old piece can be generous and creative. But I wanted a few choices that belonged only to me.
So I started leaving some days undocumented. I wore my favourite trousers twice in a weekend. I reached for the soft jumper with the slightly tired cuffs. I discovered that a good day does not always produce a good photograph.
I still love getting dressed. I still save ideas. The difference is that the photograph has become an optional part of the outfit, rather than its reason for existing. That feels like a little freedom worth keeping.
