FashionPrints That Clash, Outfits That Work
By Sara Tilla
The scarf, the belt, the unexpected colour: a closer look at the finishing touches.

The smallest part of an outfit can change its whole mood. A belt draws a new line through a loose shirt; a scarf brings colour close to the face; a pair of earrings makes an everyday knit feel intentional.
Start with one detail you already own. Place it against an unexpected texture or colour and let the rest of the outfit stay simple. The contrast gives your eye somewhere to land.
Accessories are also useful objects. A bag should hold your day. Shoes should suit the distance you will walk. A beautiful detail is more satisfying when it lets you get on with things.
There is no required final flourish. Sometimes the most thoughtful choice is to leave an outfit exactly as it is.
