One jacket, three different moods

A small styling exercise for the piece already hanging by your door.

The story

Choose a jacket you already reach for. Keep it as the constant and change the mood around it. There is no need to build a capsule wardrobe before trying a useful outfit.

For a relaxed morning, pair it with a plain T-shirt and your favourite jeans. Let the contrast between a structured shoulder and an easy base do the work. Wear the shoes you can comfortably spend the morning in.

For a more considered afternoon, try a shirt with trousers in a similar colour. An open collar or a visible cuff can change the balance without adding another accessory.

For evening, start with a simple dress or matching separates and add one expressive detail: a necklace, a scarf or a bag with an interesting shape. Photograph each version. The point is to create three options you genuinely want to repeat.
